That looks pretty nice for the price. I'd seriously consider that if I were in the market.

Yes, it looks like a good deal. Is the 289 original for that year?

Looks good. Not bad price, considering what I have in mine and it's a long way from done.

Yes, 1965 was the first year for the 289; it was 260 before that. Also 1965 was the first year for the alternator (vs. generator).

Been thinking for quite awhile about building my 65 shell, thanks to this and other forums I have acquired alot of parts and im thinking that a driver in good condition is the way to go, probably save about 20K and have an over abundance of parts to offer to people who are doing what I should have done years ago before time and age took its toll.

It's amazing to me how the market ebbs and flows: about a year and a half ago I spent 2 weeks (and too much $) looking at Rancheros in AZ and CA...nothing but over-priced crap that was rusty....you certainly have to "strike while the iron is hot"...! IF this is not rusty (esp. in the bed drain area) it will be a good deal for somebody. Oh, the one I was most interested in in Yuma, AZ is still listed for sale on CL....

I might be interested ...... If it was closer
One question --Is it really pink or is it that creamy beige that could look like pink in the right light

Looks creamy beige, pink is reference to the pink slip or title in California.
