I don't have this issue with my 64 but did when I was in CA with the big clumsy environmental 50 pound double venting returning gas filler hoses, now in AZ and we have a simpler filler, smaller single hose with just at little metal pipe on handle. But I still often fill up at home with a gas can that I've filled at the station, slowly allowing gas to fill up in the tank, at a nice even flow rate. But all this discussion does remind me of a leak ( a small split) I have at the bottom of the filler 3" rubber hose into the tank that has to be addressed next time on a lift. I have the new replacement parts. Thanks for useful info., the best kind!! ;D

Here’s what I found for my 65 chero and still working on filling more than 10gal of gas without birding and over filling. Any suggestions are welcome gentlemen. B0C9AF01-2E55-4A40-B697-DCCD29C152A4.jpeg
