That is cool. $2,500 cool, not $6K cool.
Very cool. Road trip!!
I hate the rims (can be changed), the front seats (can be changed), floor shifter (difficult to reverse), and the extra dash gauges (really difficult to reverse). As TestDummy said, not $6K cool.
I also didn't like the Bondo chunk falling off the quarter?
I agree. Looking at the fender, I couldn't help but think that the paint job was a waste, since he just painted over the rust around the one wheel well, and it looks like the front driver wheel well might be in an equal state.
Bondo or not, I haven't seen one of those in forever. That makes it cool. Cooler than 2.5K. 6K wont buy you anything pristine from 1966. If it runs and drives and everything works and the frame is solid that asking price isn't much of a stretch.
If you love it so much, why don't you marry it?
Because I am already married to the toaster. It is the jealous type too.
The fact that it has paint over obvious rot makes me question the rest of it. Based solely on the listing and the photos, I would not make an appointment to check it out in person. Not for $6K. Just my two cents.
The hacked up wiring under the hood makes me wonder how bad it looks under the dash and the splices in the brake lines are a little spooky.
Those brake lines look like they are OK just a little sloppy looking.
The lines are in a proper union where the brake fittings are screwed in to the union and the other brake line attached on the other side.
My thought is that they had off the shelf brake line and bent to fit and found out they were too short , so back to the parts store etc.
I don't see any compression fitting or swagelock fittings https://www.swagelok.com/en/catalog...VhMhkCh2odQ_fEAAYASAAEgLU5PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Grew up in one of these. Wonder how the rear facing well seat in the back has fared.
