Hi first time ever posting. Im looking at a 69 ranchero and from the research I've done it looks like it's a rio ranchero. It has special performance vehicle id on the data plate. Its really rough. Has rust in rear quarters lots of dents and just alot of work to put back together the right way. My question is is it worth doing? The car is 500$ and it'll take probably 3000 plus a whole lot of labor. Is there any other things I can do to verify that its a true rip grande? Thank you

If you are looking at turning a profit or recouping your money and money the answer is NO!

If you are looking at building a nice driver only you can answer that!

Kind of difficult to answer unless you state your goal for the car..

    69 rio grande ranchero

Hi everyone I bought a 69 rio grande ranchero today its got a 351 windsor with the fmx and 9 inch rear end. It runs and drives but is rough. The bin number is 9a48h295742 anyone know where I can get the vin decoded? Just to see if its all the original stuff. I'm going to fix it up and drive it. I need a drivers side window and hood hinges any ideas where to find parts?

I see people posting their cars so here we go!

Hi again. I just got the marti report and I have a 69 rio grande ranchero. Its calypso coral. Basically its a 500 with special paint and a hood scoop. Still it's mine and its rare so for 500$ I can't go wrong

You go! I hope you still have your Rio. You found a diamond in the rough. I feel the same way about my 69- I only paid 2K for it in fairly solid condition. Have you been restoring it? -Cindy

I recently purchased my 69 GT 390 when I went to look at it I noticed it had bucket seats in a console for only $4,500 it's factory black on black with air conditioning and a perfect body and interior with 58000 miles I just got the Marti report and found out it's one of 25 that were built in this color trim package I about fell over today I think it's a great idea to get the Marti report it gives you so much information on your particular vehicle it's worth every bit of $50

Great find, great price... I had what I thought was a pretty credible budget for my rebuild when I started... I blew through that before I even started prepping for paint... and came out at a total about 3 times my original budget... --and I am still married -- and mine was almost totally complete. Just take it apart, clean it up, repaint, reassemble... at least that's what I thought! Course after I got the Marti Report, I changed from a RESTO-MOD build to a factory restoration.

    OH! What did Marti say?
