looks like you're making headway ,It takes more time than most people think to have the body work look the best possible ,I spent ayear . and as you say with life happening looking good, glad to hear you didn't get hurt ,
17 X 9 chrome 03 Mach1 wheels in the rear, 17 X 8 on the front. Patterned after Magnum 500s but a little more modern. The tires are currently 315-35 Nitto Drag radicals, they fit but probably put them back on my 98 Mustang GT & swap on Nitto NT 555s in 285-40-17, they fit a lot better!
Pic of the rims, the rears were 275-40 tires in this pic, my son traded me the drag radials when he upgraded the rims & tires on the 67 El Camino. Tried them on but they're a little too wide
Spent a day detailing my rims, masked the spokes & rims off, scuffed the chrome in the cutouts & sprayed with satin black to look like the Magnum 500 wheels these were patterned after. Also replaced the Mustang pony center caps.
It's been months since I've had more than a couple hours of quality time in the Ranchero shop, life, work & family obligations have to come first. Today was a phenomenal day, worked on some unfinished areas that have been laying dormant for a while. I had done some bodywork on the roof & had spread body glaze over the entire surface, today I got it all finish sanded & primed. Also, I had purchased a GT hood at the Pate Swap Meet a couple years ago, it was a 1970 hood with the grill in the back & it had a warp on the driver side from the hinge locking up. We had cut and welded underneath to fix the warp and my son welded in a piece of metal in place of the grille. Been working a little at a time to smooth that out, today I got it all finished out and sanded to 800grit sandpaper, ready for final primer [/IMG] {/URL]http://s5.photobucket.com/user/Orange97GTVert/media/IMG_0846_zpsubtvorce.jpg.html]
Photobucket is not my friend tonight, post took over an hour, I don't know what is up, used to be really reliable when I was really active on Mustang forums! Rant over!!
No pics today but got 3 good coats of good primer from the paint gun on the hood & roof. Then we bolted the hood back on & put the tailgate on the stand, my son welded up the trim holes & I got a first layer of filler spread.
