I'm currently looking for restored examples of these two years to showcase in a book on the history of Cobra Jet equipped FoMoCo cars.

If you have a stock appearing example, and would like to see it in a book, send me a PM. Thanks!

We're still looking to feature examples of 73 and 74 Rancheros with the 351-4 CJ engine. Anyone have one?

Wow. If someone on here has one, they must not allow them to see the light of day. Try a n00b search for them, see if there were members at one time with what you're looking for.

I had one, 3A48Qxxxxxx, with C-6 and 3.25 Traction-Loc - sadly the only part of it remaining is the engine, overhauled and looking for a home now.

It sounds pretty cool. This line has me wondering if I should read it, though.

"You will be hypnotized after reading Cobra Jet: The History of Ford’s Greatest High Performance Cars!"

Will I start clucking like a chicken after hearing a Cobra Jet fire up? I hope so.

I had one. My CJ was too far gone and I am in the middle of a 460 swap.

No, actually, you'll act like your avatar, right in the Rotunda at Ford World HQ...but your audience will be quite horrified at your appearance, including your 'Patrick' boxers.

Unless someone really modded one, any Q code will look like any other Chero.

Of course. And the Q code was available across all Ranchero models. The point is, the book will be a very well done, beauty shot book, so we'd like to have authentic 73/74 Ranchero CJs in it.

He can't do that Andy. November 1962 the Rotunda burnt to the ground because of idiots sealing the roof.

Had to say something about his avatar and he went and deleted it...

... liked his avatar when he had the x percentile dummy with the yellow/black markings - t'was fitting.

THAT'S what burned? I knew about the fire, but I didn't know it was that, specifically!

I'm actually in the process of restoring a 73 GT Q code. Motor is getting rebuilt at the moment and I'm far from done.

Still looking for some nice, stock 73/74 Q code cars to feature.

    I have a 72' Q code with a 351-cJ. I'm happy to send pics. I know you're after 73-74 but it's close
