I just want one to strut around in, like to see the reactions at cruise-ins and shows. Admit it, you ever seen one in person ? It's basically a 1965 LTD with different front and rear ends. 83 had gone to 302's with auto trans. but most were four in the floor and even had super charged 312 "Y" blocks available. A 1970 looked identical to our 1966 LTD's except for the tail lights. Different !

Your right, never seen one. Got to admit super charged 312 just gets you!

Spoke to Scott @ Marti report this morning, let him know I could not get a paint sample. Every time I tried to scrape off a piece it just descentagraded. Told him we know the car was black. Told him to go ahead with the report, said he can't find any Ford info yet on the 6 digit DSO but will exhaust all avenues at his disposal. Stated he too is intrigued and was starting on it today. Look forward to see it!

Ok Guys and Gals, just got the e-mail version of my Marti Report. Here it is.
Wish I could have gotten that paint color but is still very informative.
Logged in to post during my small break from service calls, look forward to any wisdom that is plucked out of this report that I don't possibly see. Be back later!!

    Interesting!!!

I compared your Marti Report to mine... must be the "Special Paint" as to why there is not a color code... not even on the body tag!

I do believe the truck was black just not sure how that black was special other than if it was a metal flake type. Also stated wheel package.

You may want to contact Ford Customer Service, and get their input. They may be able to provide more information about the "Special Paint". They provide VIN information similar to Marti... supposedly they use the same DB, but the Ford information lead me to get the Delux Marti Report.

I called the contact number I found on the internet for Ford Customer Service, they transferred me to Green Auto Sales. They were great but he could not find any information on the paint either. :(
