Hi guys, I've allready introduced myself in the new members area. I'm in the process of restoring my baby blue Ranch. Loads of (cosmetical) work to do: new paintjob, rechroming, polishing etc. This is how it came out of the shed where it was stalled for over 10 years. I will post pics every now and then to keep you informed of the progress. It has to be ready September 21 because of my wedding............
thats what i was thinking...lol... had an old f150 service truck that had it on..worked ok till the price of lpg went out of site.
Made some progress. Stripped down the paint. No real troubles, just one spot with some bondo. Tomorrow spray the Epoxy primer.
Made some progress last week: Now blocksanding and hopefully spray it next saturday Some parts are sandblasted and primered Tailgate needs some bondo .........
I love those wheels, what make and size are they? I have 14x8.5 ET slots on my '73 currently, but thinking of a change.
I have sprayed it yesterday but the result is not what I was hoping for. A few (huge) drips, orange peel and dust in my paint. Also still some small dents visible It is my first paintjob ever so it's not surprising Don't no what I'm gonna do. Sand it and spray it again or sand and polish it. @Huevos, yes it's the original 3B light blue color
The only way to get rid of the dent is fix them the other stuff you should be able wet sand and buff. It is easier to wet sand if it is base coat, clear coat but you also can wet sand single stage just don't bust through.
