Hello everyone, can anyone tell me of they know if a 73 ranchero seat would fit in a 70 ranchero and if it would be a direct bolt on. I'd prefer a 70 bench seat but can only find a 73 on craigslist. I know most people prefer buckets but I have 3 daughters so a bench is more practical.

Not sure,70 rancheros are smaller.Ask the seller to measure seat and mounting points.73 tracks may be different as well.Welcome to site!

Thanks for the picture, it really puts the size difference into perspective.

Not the same, seat risers and floor are very different.
70-71 Ranchero is unibody vehicle and 72-79 are body on full perimeter frame so wheels are about the only parts that interchange.
68-69 Ranchero seat may fit but certainly not the later

I have a bench seat from my 1970 , probably too late for you- but you never know.

Do you still have it? I would be interested depending on condition.
