Damn. If I had the money, I'd be all over it like a cheap suit. Front end for Babe, and scores of spares to boot.

Not many front ends uglier than this one. Granada, maybe. Pacer.

It's the rest of the car that throws you Sean. While I agree those front clips of that era lack something, all polished up they look kinda' neat on a Ranchero especially if it has cornering lamps to help break up the slab look.

I rode with a friend to school in a 1966 Tempest 4-door that didn't have forward gears, just reverse. We backed to school for 2-weeks, through neighborhoods, except for the last 100 yards when we had to pull onto a real 2-lane road. Good times.

I'd rather have this front end than the LTD II as...I mean...front end. And missing trans gears can be fun, can be a hassle, or can be terrifying.

Looked at the rear shot and the plate shows tags from 2015... If filed non-op, your ok... If not, the price is almost like the DMV late fees..

If you like that front end, just get a Cougar, remove the trunk lid and call it a Couchero.

Probably led to your career path and the job you have now, how many tests have you done in reverse.

None. You'd be surprised how few fatalities happen in cars going backwards. Rear end collisions, I've done.

Likely the same number of times he drove a car with no forward gear forward 100 yards.

    Well, I was right, wasn't I?
You posted while I was typing.
Hey, I know you toss those obvious contradictions into your stories just to see if people are paying attention. You should take it as a compliment that I actually read what you post and think about it.
Now, lighten up. You have gotten grumpy in your old age.

I dig that Cougar front end, would look great on a 77-79

I bought my '97 C1500 for cheap because it had no reverse due to a sheared sun shell gear. Drove it 6 hours home with the remainng gear grinding against the sun shell can. By the time i got home i was down to just 1st and 3rd due to metal particles in the trans fluid. The PO emailed me the next day to see how far i had gotten, he was surprised as heck when i told him. Threw a rebuild kit into it and a new sun shell over that winter, and i was good to go.
