I'll be getting my first street motorcycle this weekend!!! I've ridden dirt bikes and quads in the past (actually, thats how I learned to drive), I'll put up some pics later on.
congrats!! be VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY careful on the roads. i much prefer a bike in the dirt myself. just remember, unfortunately, people are not looking for you on the road. you must ALWAYS be on the defense. can't wait to see it. have fun
Dig, is right, I agree the drivers of cars looks at a motorcycle driver as no danger because you apears as a small objekt. If you are comming towards them in 100 miles they would drive out in front of anyway, but if a massiv truck comes at 40 miles they will stop. We motorcycle drivers must at all times se the other drivers like idiot's on the road just to survive, i'm been driving since 72 and have only one accident, but it was near fatal and the guy in the car was to blame, I was prounonced dead but someway a young doctor get me back to life, let's say I owe him. And congrats on your new bike, ride safe.
The bike is looking a little questionable now. On a side note, a couple years ago I saw what was left of a buddy of mine after a drunk driver side swiped him, as gruesome as it is to think about I believe he was in more pieces than his bike and pronounced dead at the scene. He was a very experienced rider but sh!7 happens and I dont think I could possibly put the rest of my family through that. It's a beautiful bike, but I just keep seeing that accident when I think about it.
just know it does happen. don't need to go into it (think you have the picture without me bringing up my past too) bikes ARE the coolest. just be cool mate
Seen a lot of it to, but can't stop ridi'n, its to much fun. I think its better to live happy for a few years than being board a liftime. And i'm 48 and has had 2 wheelers since i was 12, most of us is still ridi'n, and the other ones are doing what ever they do where ever they are. Drive it but be carefull.
