A WWII training film, on basic automotive diagnosis

I found this film on YouTube, which might help members with little or no experience in automotive diagnosis, be able to do basic checking before posting up their problem:

 

Good lesson on Vacuum gauge usage. Some today may be stumped when he says to disconnect the hose going to the wipers and connect it to the gauge. I remember those wipers, and the floor starter pedal.

 

Ah, yes. Driving uphill in the rain.

 

I recall my old man saying in the mid 60's that you used to be able to check out problems with just a screwdriver.
