I just installed some kaslight LED headlights I ordered from Amazon for $75. They are bright as hell and look great. Has anyone used these?

Is it too bright? Like blinding other people bright? A lot of these things will say 'Off Road Use Only' meaning not DOT approved.

They are not blinding. They are bright, I wouldnt say too bright though. Also my car is pretty low, my friend was in front of me and said the lights weren't bad, but the brights were really bright.

Those do pop. I don't know if the CHP out here would like them or not. I bet you get attention at car shows.

I considered those for a host of reasons but rejected them for prezactly what Huevos posted. I decided to go with the 3G alternator upgrade and may source new projector headlights if mine don't come to life as I think they need too many amps for the current set up. I can't drive the car at night as it doesn't put out enough light to illuminate the street. I also have a sneaking suspicion I may have some other wiring issues contributing to the problem.

    Cheers,

    Doc

They have it embossed on the lens anyway. I'm sure the Chinese wouldn't cheat.

How does the wattage compare with halogen bulbs? I would like to think the LED's give plenty of light without powering through a relay.

Be careful of some of those LEDs some of those have to have the headlight buckets modified in the back portion to make them fit!

I bought a set of 7" round LED's with parking lights built in. I did not have to modify the bucket on my '64. Only problem is that the LED parking lights are pale blue-not white as advertised. I'm hoping they may 'burn in' and not be so noticeable.

The 4x6 ones that I bought went right in with no problems. I'm working on getting the stereo upgraded. I hope the LED wobt flicker on and off when the stereo is rockin.

You should be okay as long as you refrain from playing DISCO

I remember the song from back in the day, but I never saw the video until sometime last year. It was … ummm … memorable.

I saw it years ago...now you know why I have memory problems and cognitive dissonance.
