Went to my first legit car show a couple days ago downtown here, and entered the ranchero in the stock 73+ truck section. I have done show and shines before but nothing judged. Glad to be surprised with winning my division and taking down the older crowd. No offense to anyone here on the site:p

You and me would have had the only ones there. I have yet to see another ranchero in my year range here yet.

That is how it is at most shows. Rancheros are spread out very thin. I am usally the only ranchero in the truck class. Every now and then at one of the Shows I do in Wis there is a falcon body with a matching falcon body trailer (63/64?) that shows up. Buy the way nice job on the trophy!

I know that there is an older lady( maybe in her upper 80's?). That drives a red 78 ranchero around in the north side of town. I saw it when I was 12 and that's what made me want one. I see it once and a while and her son has it now, looks like he got it in an accident too. Not too happy with that.

I suspect you will do very well with that ranchero. It is a very nice looking ride and unique. (will outshine a new truck any day)

Got another one today at the local 9/11 show today. Got second in the youth divison stock. Total there were 17 in my class so I consider this doing very well. Since they mixed all the cars and trucks together in that class.

Thanks man. I am hoping to come up with some more before winter hits here and I gotta put her in storage for awhile. Does anyone know if there is a website or something that lists all car shows in your area?

Just got back from a show in Goehner Ne. Put the chero in the highschool class with 4 other kids in my class. Ended up taking first place, and here is the funny part. The entrants were the ones who voted and there were 121 people voting. You couldnt vote in your own class and I ended up with 116 votes. Meaning I got all the votes and the other guys ended up with 0. Ranchero for the win!
