Hello all! I just purchased my first Ranchero and I'm happy to be here. Right now it's in sunny California waiting to be picked up on the 7th. They estimate delivery on the 17th. I've waited 30 yrs for this, not sure if I can wait two more weeks. Anyway, I'll post photos as soon as it's off the truck.
1976 Ranchero 500 with a 351 Windsor. True California car. I have loads of mods in mind to dress the old girl up.
    Cheers for now

Good luck. I also waited many years to get a fun car.

You from Joisy? I left there 7 years ago.

I retire in 3 years. I'll be outta here like a fat kid in a dodge ball game. (Can I say dodge in a Ford forum? )

Very minor surface rust. Nothing serious. No cancer on the rockers, floor pans are solid, no leaking from the split window, bed is solid.

    Nice 76 Ranchero 500.
I live in South Jersey near Vineland.
I 'm originally from Jersey Shore and spent 26 years in South Florida.
I moved back to Joisy in 2012 and have no plans of leaving.
I have a 76 Ranchero 500 but it's a rust bucket but got it cheap near the Jersey Shore.

I haven't been on the forum in 6 months or more so I missed seeing your post till now.
    What part do you live?

Hello RnR, glad to meet you. I am from Piscataway, close to New Brunswick and Edison for at least three more years. Then we shall see which way the wind blows when retirement arrives.

I'm with you 65. I have 36 months and six days. Where did the wind take you? I'm thinking south for Sunshine or southwest for heat but low humidity. Shhhhh. The wife doesn't know about the second one, yet!

NE Vermont. I lived in Morris Cty
NJ got too expensive, too many people.
    Can't stand the high heat
The wife and I didn't like the summers there kinda humid for us and so far cold and snow is not a big deal
Sold in 2013 and bought a bigger house , more land and less taxes and had money left over

Well we have 2.5 acres in South Jersey surrounded by woods.
    I have a 30x46 Polebarn Garage with 16ft ceilings.
    I built a 12x12 storage loft with 8ft clearance .
I then built a paint room under the loft plus another 10 ft with OSB walls and framed out rafters to hold wall then stretched 6mil heavy clear plastic over the top for a roof but still let's in light from the lights in shop ceiling above.
I can fit 4 full size vehicles.
Currently there is our 72 Gran Torino in back left corner then our 72 Gran Torino Sport fastback in front of it with 3-4 ft between the 2 cars and 4 ft behind the Sport to 10'Wx14'H garage dolr.
In the paint room in right rear corner is a 72 Gran Torino Sport 2 dr Hardtop I'm restoring for a member of my Facebook group and behind it in the shop area is 82 Corvette I have been restoring for last 2 yrs and custom painted.
I have a fenced in area behind the shop where the 2 Rancheros are parked plus 2 1997 Ford Explorer 5.0,my brothers Chevy parts truck and a rusted out 63 Chevy Suburban body.
Next to the shop in fenced area is a 20ft Sea Container for storage.
Between the 2 story house with 1 car garage and full finished basement is a 18x36 8ft deep pool with it's own 5dt fence around it and big patio with airshow pits behind fence on the front side of shop then I built a 16'x16' pole shed for firewood and storage that just has dirt floor.
Beyond the fenced Vehicle Coral behind shop is another 50-60 ft if wooded property with trails where I walk our dog.
Best part is we only pay Property Tax and Utility Bill's as my girlfriend owns the place No Mortgage payments and after moving her here from Maryland 3 hrs away with 4 trips back and forth plus moving all my stuff from a 20ft Storage unit I'm never wanting to move again.
Somebody else can deal with all the stuff here when we are dead as I'm not ever moving again.
I have lived in 5 different states across the US and all of them were long distant moves and I moved from Jersey to Florida and back 3 different times in my life so that's 6 moves between the 2 states which was 1100 mile each time I moved.
Sorry for long winded post but I won't have what we have now in another state and at 55 yrs old I never want to pack and move a house again
