Found this gem in a field just West of my town
    [IMG]
I do all my own sheet metal and body work, one tack weld at a time (primer is covering a new patch
    [IMG]
    Slowly starting to take shape
    [IMG]
Where I am currently, re-asembling the front for paint
    [IMG]
Not bad for a 19 year old back yard mechanic, eh?

Looks good, now just get that chevy crap off the hood and find something better to weld on in it's place!

    Haha thanks.

Truth being I love that hood scoop looks it conforms to the front of the car.

I would rather have a much longer hood scoop, but Im looking at a tunnel ram, so she would have a Chrome Intake with the 3 red throttle blades, or throttle bodys what ever you want to call them

Looking good and dont worry about the L88 inspired scoop. Do not worry the Chevy haters around are just jelous of Cheap chevy horsepower it takes 2 or 3 times the dollar per HP for a ford.
In fact maybe drop a L88 into it to match the scoop!!!!!! then you would have something! ;)

Good job on the body work!!
5.0 Chero... quit perpetuating the cheap chivie build myth. My 460 is .060" over (472 cu. in.) With a stroker crank I can go to 557 cu. in.!! Try that with a BBC... the crank throws would hit the camshaft!!

The scoop gives it character and there is nothing wrong with a little GM engineering... my GM inspired piece is the HEI under the hood, its big but hasn't failed me soooooo its all good.

I'm sort of with Carl on this one. The L88, while a sweet looking scoop (I had one on my Chevelle) just don't look right on that massive hood, in my opinion (which is the only one that really matters,...to me).

Go with the tunnel ram. I always liked those and would love to see what one looks like on a chero.

Went and checked out the rancheros. They are 59's and he only wants $1200 for the pair. I'm going to my credit union Monday to look at a loan.
