oool did Uhaul know you were hauling that car trailer with a Ranchero?
Nice one, Andy. I don't want to bother you but how much for the bumpers and grille surround?
So Andy, I got's to know, were you dropping off or picking up beer? Looks like you made a good score, your "Ranchero Rescue Ranch" adds another to the inventory.
True. They are pretty picky.
i backed up to it at U HAUL and drove away
Even with my 79 E-150 with the Windsor, I had to tell U-Haul I was picking up a ford Escort before their silly weight calculation thing would allow me to tent the trailer to get a Chero years ago. What did you tell them you were going to haul?
That Ranchero must be very Deer to you..
Not a problem with a 71 chero...11/71.
I see what you did there! Not saying I would have done that, but clever wordplay is always welcome.
It depends a lot on who you know. Rules ? We don't need no steenkin rules ! Southern hospitality on display there. Down here things are kind'a like Alices' Resturant. That really wasn't meant as a pun, more like everyday life.
A riding mower. Just one, though. No deck.
Damn, right! Screw the innocent people on the road who are hurt because some fool who has no experience hauling loads doesn't know when he's in over his head. Just hook up and go!!!! *
* Not calling LSChero a fool, because he obviously knows what he's doing. Just saying only a moron would rent a trailer to someone without making sure they know what's going on it, and what's pulling it. Trust is earned.
In most cases you are absolutely correct Sean. Just like trust, experience is earned too. Sometimes the hard way. Then you run into arbitrary rules that don't quite match capabilitys and reality. I doubt this is a case of moronic actions on either of the guys here. This isn't their first rodeo, bet on it. Where I take umbrage with U-Haul is the logic that a beefed up 72 Ranchero is not capable of towing another car because of it's age. That blue one is in better condition than most four year old F-150's. So, how come the rules don't account for such facts ? Must be easier to just lump everything together after a pre-determined year because most goobers don't pull maintence and their tow vehicle is relative junk. Do you accept all rules or take time to weigh facts before reaching a conclusion ? Not mad at you Sean, I know you have seen some seriously atrocious crap on the roads that needed nuked on the spot.
You never get mad at anyone, Hillbilly. Even me as I continually ask you to give me one of your cars. I'll get a U-Haul trailer and bring it home myself!
So i hope your not calling me----- Some fool who has no experience hauling loads doesn't know when he's in over his head --- Ihauled 18 wheelers 8 years so you voicing true facts , but the way your doing so is like a a-$ , this was about saving a vehicle
not why dosnt UHaul rent to SEAN
I also commend your work , saving people lives by what you do safety always
