He didn't say he had a ranch. Looks like a nice property, but I think a ranch needs some western themed animals and a chuck wagon. Or either.

Working at the unemployment office is such a stressful job, knowing that if you get fired you still have to show up the following day.

Not yet, still waiting for a comment from the most impotent one, it would be the polite thing to do.

I could run with that one but I'd probably get the boot for commenting on things pointing south.

Thanks, these are short, most a couple of cycles, high voltage spikes.
I suspect arcing in the PGE transformer primary coils or noise causing autotransformer action, naturally though, PGE is claiming they are not the source of the problem.
Arcing contacts and phase dropping can create a lot of noise, both Rf and voltage, but it shows up as voltage drops rather than increases.
Tomorrow I am installing self resetting power conditioners on the critical systems behind UPS units. That way the power will shut off with a UPS taking over when one of the events happens.

Most who come here bring more beer than they drink, as the want my help or to use my shop to get something done, but if you are in the area drop on by, there is no lock on my fridge and I will run out of beer when Alaska runs out of ice.

Appreciate the offer, if I am in the area I'll bring some, I would hate to prove Al Gore right.

To be fair, the man was not stupid enough to claim that there would be no more ice in Alaska, just that there would be no more snow.

Not really, Gore has seen ice in his drinks while in the tropics, so he knows ice is everywhere.
    Hey, he invented the internet!
