looking for hood
need to find parts for hood and grill tree branch smashed them both
Shouldda not bent them parts, musta been a BIG Limb!
I like the color!
Good luck, them J models are scarse as hens teeth,
Is that original steel or fiberglass kit parts?
It looks good to me. Where's the damage?
That's a JK, and they've made millions. Not so many with that conversion kit on it (which, I sorta like).
Try here. Looks like they made the conversion kit.
Hand hammered. Cut down from an old Gladiator pickup. Chris Durm over in Pickens, South Carolina has the molds made to do the hood and nose in fiberglass for around $4,000 and that includes vented inner fenders and the various mounting parts. That's an original grill where Chris's is a fiberglass repop. It's not just for looks, it improves the cooling for the engine. By the time you build a bumper and add a winch expect to have around $8,000 invested. How badly do you want to be different ?
Apparently, Very badly...
But then again, you can`t take it with you...
Did you get finished with it yet @Hillbilly ?
I recognize them others in the garage,
Still have to finish the winch install. Looking for a nice hidden spot for the control box.
shes is a beautiful piece of artwork ,was trying to have everyone study the nose and see how many could see the differences
if there was a prize & jeff b & you win TD
Custom, but somewhat identifyablly beautiful!
I love the color!
For my prize, I choose the helicopter. TD can have the snowmobile. I must admit I cheated, my first car/truck was a J100 pickup. I like the upgrade to the modern Jeep.
Yeah, High school buddy and I couldn`t tear one up...
I broke many other vehicles, but that J is one tough one!!!
Use-ta ride them FL orange groves in the Willys and couldn`t get it stuck neither
The J even went Everglades`n quite often...
I'd take a snowmobile, but around here odds are I'll never need it, or tops, one week every 2-3 years.
I like how I tried to find him the correct parts, then find out he doesn't even need them. Hahahaha. Fool me once.
Maybe twice Sean, the dark brown JK is the red one repainted after a trip thru Moab. Brown now has battle scars from a trip thru the rocks up in Maryland so any bets on the next color ? Chris is a devoted off roader who isn't afraid of giving his ride a little rash here and there. Stand up guy in my opinion.
I apologize for misleading ya all, thanks for the effort in locating parts SEAN,
All I ask now is that you buy one.
For all the inconvenience and time that you spent looking I think they should pool their money and get you one, even if it's just a 10th scale.
He has the picture, that should be enough.
After all the time put in on his employers dime he should at least get a frame.
