Found this car on a site and want to know if anybody here had any info on it? Is it a scam or a legit sale?

You can't rebuild one for that price

If it's rust free like it says, it seems reasonably priced. It's a Q code and 4 speed...both desirable options. Personally, I don't care for the rubber band tires, but that's just me.

It has been on eBay many months ago.
    It is way under priced.
    Probably a scam.

If your curious if it's a scam reply to it and say your interested, once they are baited ask for the VIN and a picture of the L door tag ( scammers can't get that)

Yes I emailed the ad and a guy got back to me and said its down in Florida and hes working in the Gulf and it was still for sale. He got me more pics but when I asked for his phone number and a data plate pic from him he never got back to me, dang scammers!!!

    Me too!
Yea, I looked at a '66 on line with some pictures and it was allegedly with in driving distance and priced right, did a e-mail contact and asked for the data plate info, Never heard back from the bastige.
Another one I was interested in had a phone number with a east TX area code, and I happened to mention that my parents had moved down there and I kinda knew the area. He said the car was being stored in Illinois and he was going to down size because his wife is from the Philippines and were going to move back there.

I was interested in this one, too. So I asked him if the A/C still worked and he told me it worked great. Only one problem...in the under-hood photos there's no compressor. ;) I also asked for photos of the VIN and data plate. He did respond with a group of photos, but nothing showing the VIN or data plate. (sigh)

These are some good tips to beat scammers! My go to is, I tell them we can meet at the local police station to do the deal. I usually don't hear from them again after that. My local police station actually had a designated meeting area for that purpose.
