My Ranchero has an original AM radio which works, but living in the sticks most stations fade within five miles of my house and I'm constantly turning the tuning knob. I'd love to stream music from my phone to the radio, even with just the dash speaker at least the music would be constant. So my Micromitter arrived yesterday, nicely packaged and small enough to fit in the mailbox. Basically you run a cord between it and your phone or portable cd player or what have you, hit play on your device and turn the Micromitter on and tune your AM radio to somewhere near 1000 on the dial. Just like that you're broadcasting music to your radio, and it's like always being within range of a radio station cuz the radio station is coming from within your car. At roughly 3x2x1 it takes up very little room in my glovebox and it came with a Bluetooth adapter for wireless connection if you prefer not having a cord between the two. I've tried it both corded and Bluetooth and it works well parked in my yard, I'm looking forward to trying it on the road and seeing if other stations bleed in or there's interference from powerlines etc. At any rate thought I'd offer up this review for anyone keeping their original AM radio, I like this little gizmo. Edit to add that it's powered by a 9 volt battery.
