    70 - 71 = same mirror for Torino/Ranchero and related platforms
    72 - 76 = same mirror through those model years on Torino/Ranchero for mid-size platforms, but different than 70 - 71
    77 - 79 = same mirror on intermediate platforms but different from 70 - 71 and 72 - 76

My '73 Mach 1 mirrors are different than the Torino mirrors 72 - 76 (mounting arrangement and angle). I don't know if any of the Mustang sport mirrors were the same as the mirrors used 70 - 71.

    Dan is very close
Torino/Montego sport mirrors are not shared with any other models with one exception
    the one exception
70 passenger side was used on 70 Cougar Eliminator
Dans info was real close but
69 is all by its self
70 71 are different of you want numbers correct 71 base are slightly taller

Yup - I completely screwed that up and anything I post should always be ignored as it is full of mis-information and despicable lies.

All I did was reference Carl's assessment of your mirror knowledge. I thought you were spot on.
Personally, I thought Carl's 'attack' was unwarranted, but figured you mods have a different set of rules when conversing with each other.

    Looks like backpedaling to me
I corrected one small piece of misinformation that not every one knows and added a little more info from I have learned over the years reconditioning and selling sport mirrors

Pinto sport mirrors are (wait for it)
    smaller.
I have dual remote sports mirrors on my 74 Pinto.
I had wanted to use the passenger side on my Ranchero since the Ranchero one is very loose, but nope.

I'm having the same problem on my 72 chero i just wanna know if I can order one from npd for a mustang if it will fit same as the driver's side or if I'd be better off trying to find one on eBay.

What would I gain by smooching butt around here? Nothing. And I wouldn't do it unless I could benefit.
