Well the bug has been sitting for a while started working on it again Did not like the way the gas cap looked when I got it So I made some changes by recessing a cap in the qtr panel with plastic trim cover this is the one I like the best no plastic cover and label removed from cap Also working a rack mount for the tow bar
Did you ever take yours to the Hollister Hills off road park? Went there a few times with a couple of my baja bugs.
I had a aftermarket tank where the back seat goes when I got it. Not yet Shok but probably will once its road worthy
Hoo boy. However, bear in mind the 'Thing' was a convertible. So if you could make the windshield fold down, you might just have something there. Or completely strip it to the floor pan and build it into a sand rail.
Rainy day work last night recovered rear seat delete/ gas tank cover Got rid of ugly diamond tuck used black speaker box cove from Ebay added a trim ring for filler neck Also added front flap to cover front of tank
gas tank mounted ABS filler panels I am working on driver side rear panel installed and tank cover passenger side panel with filler neck still need to find a different cover for neck not too bad for home made filler piece to plug holes in roof from "BAJA" lights that were on it Right side will have connections for rack lights using a plug similar to these repurpose servo motor cable connections and this cable holes in roof
