...but what's with that steering wheel? https://medford.craigslist.org/cto/d/medford-67-ford-ranchero/7731081092.html
Is it a "test" to prevent a DUI or just a tribute to Salvador Dali? Ok, and what's with 2x4s when a street engine can't get close to the CFM they provide?...I guess street cred???
My guess would be the aftermarket column was a bit too long, and they depressed the wheel for belly clearance Now the carbs are another story - the throttle arms tell me that they are either 390 or 450 cfm carbs, and with over 400 cubes, roller cam, AFR heads, etc. 900 cfm wouldn't be out of line. 780 cfm (with the 390's) would actually be small. I like that truck a lot
I like simplicity I guess, plus, a VERY reputable engine builder that's close-by to me uses a 750 CFM Quick Fuel carbs on his 500+ HP 408s....
That's what happens when you hit the back of a truck while you have a white knuckle grip on the wheel. Nice truck.
I also like and use Quick Fuel carbs - my own 332" stroker made 21 horsepower more with a QFT 850 over the QFT 750 - and, yes, it's in excess of 500 HP And of course, they've been "enhanced"
