I would like to bring to your attention this gem that somehow went unnoticed today. Rwitt made a funny that was actually funny. Let’s all stop and congratulate him on this momentous occasion.

If you weren't kidding, that was close to being mean. But you were kidding, so it's all good. And funnier than rwitt.

Joshua Tree would be a good place to store old cars outside.

We love the park, visited it and camped there many times. Think there's a Marines base near 29 Palms? That could account for the artillery sounds, or maybe it was a UFO. Very strange countryside, looks like the kind of place a UFO would treat as a rest stop.

I pack a telescope when we go down there, also has exceptionally dark skies.

There is Military base in 29 Palms, they do much of their desert war training there.
You are also right about storing cars out there, that is why I was looking out there. It also gets very cold at night out there.

well ,i have worked on many different kinds of cars/truck in my life time. from brand new to 30+yrs old, from usa made to imports! there one thing they all have in common. they run and they break down:eek:!!! thats why they ALL have mechanics that will work on them!
