According to a Daily Caller report, on August 2 CARB sent a survey to owners of classic cars from model year 1978 or earlier. The questions were aimed at ascertaining how those classics are used and store, as well as where they’re driven. https://www.yahoo.com/autos/report-california-looking-restrict-travel-120000026.html
This is why Californians need to stop being "ME ME ME ME ME" and get to your state reps before CARB does. If there is a restriction, it should only be for common use of a 'classic' car, not because you go out for the weekend, or participate in a parade, etc. And, a commensurate reduction in DMV fees if the vehicle cannot be driven as intended. And I mean, a full-on lawful restriction to DMV, preventing them from using loopholes to hamstring, as well as steal from, car owners.
Why I haven't lived there since 1993....sorry for being nostalgic but it was a wonderful place to grow-up in the 50s and 60s...MAJOR transitions in the 70s...
And now, an 11% excise tax on all guns and ammo. I left 10 years ago, never looked back. But as RancheroRandy said, great place to grow up.
