I picked up a set of 1973 Ford factory aluminum slot mag wheels with Mustang center caps. Apparently you could order these wheel for other models with this type of cap.

Need a set of 4 or at least the center emblem inserts. They look like this:

Yeah, I just found another one like that and it says 2.5" diameter. The ones I need are 1-3/4 to maybe 1-13/16".

I'm confused- are those your center caps you're showing, or are those the inserts you need? Were there Ranchero-specific inserts?

I have the same caps only with Mustang inserts. I don't want to put Mustang caps on the Ranchero.

Here they are after I popped out the emblems:

Those actually look like they would work, BUT he only has 3 left at $150 each. That's way more than I gave for the wheels, lol.

    That is great work.
Except on the outer edge near the rim, I have trouble polishing that type by hand because of all the holes. I usually use mothers, but sometime have to start with wet and dry emery paper.
Are you using a foam ball or cotton wheel? What compound.
    What size are they ? 14 x6?

14x6, yes. I cleaned the wheel with Mcguire's aluminum wheels cleaner first which was no more effective than soap and water.

Using a rag and Mother's compound. I tried the Mother's foam cone but it wasn't working any better or faster than just using a rag and hand polishing. Here's a short video on it:

Thanks BB but your stickers look great and I don't think those inserts are the right diameter anyway.
