Just got back from the car barn, washed Cochise and took him to my job so my buddies could see him, buncha good guys there. Now all I need is a few days off i a row, so i can get all these new parts on him.-Cindy
Cindy, I wish my storage unit matched my Ranchero... Question for you.. Are your door panels and Dash black?. If so your seat would have been black also..
Mitch, heh I never noticed the match. Kinda cool. The dash is black, yes. But someone definitely wanted to change out the interior, because the door panels have been remade and covered with a greenish fabric. they also put this fabric on the headliner. The fabric was, i suppose, intended to match the color of the car. I don't really have a good shot of that yet. I do think someone must have taken the original seat(s) out at some point. This bench was obviously not the original. The native blanket I have covering it is sufficient for now, tho I would like to do something about that tear. -Cin
Ooh, the open road. I need to get Babe back to running so I can hit some of the windey Cascade Hills roadways.
I love letting him run. Heck even when i go to the grocery store in him, the smartest people always compliment him. LOL
Thats right, Andrew. He seems so much happier nowadays, and i guess I would be too if someone started fixing all my "old age" aches & pains!
So today I went out to give Cochise a pep talk. I inventoried all the stuff I've been buying for him (stuff I haven't put on him yet, I mean) and just enjoyed the quiet of the car barn. My friend/helper bailed on us today, but thats okay. It was nice to get outta this tiny apartment and have some space around me.
Thanks, Basstrix, I think he's awesome-looking but i know I'm a bit biased, lol...I'd say for his age he looks pretty good. I know he gets lots of attention when we go down the street!
lol Mitch, Cochise has been getting pampered by me a lot lately. He's badass. He deserves it. Course....I need groceries too.....LOL....
Well, today's visit with Cochise went a bit unexpected...the cattle that usually graze down the road decided to sample the tall lush grass that grows behind the car barn. so, when i say car barn,I REALLY mean it.......
....we didn't wanna scare them, so we waited till after they were mooooved on to start em up. Here are some pics of stuff we did, like getting rid of the homemade wooden armrests, fixing the locks, etc.
