Agreed on the '59.
Woo-hoo, just scored a NOS fuel gauge... another piece for the Big Dash project.
One detail at a time, and before long the thing is perfect.
Listen to you Cindy; "a NOS fuel gauge". Did you ever think?
Hey, even if she couldn't parley the language, she's in the club to stay! Congrats on the righteous finds! How many more items do you need before you're ready?
A LOT more than Cindy. Lol.
CINDY- your going to make Cochise cry tears of happiness, hope you have new wipers !!!!
Lemme see....I got the fuel gauge, the new speedo cable, the tachometer (YAY!), the radio, the speakers, and Im sending the dash clock out for rebuilding....I just gotta find the right dash lights and then start saving up for my mechanic friend to install it all.....oh yeah and the intermittent wiper relay...
Thats a good idea, Andrew, new wiper blades...I switched out the cheap looking plastic wiper arms he was wearing for some nice metal ones, they are much better.
So a fun day planned for tomorrow. Gonna start it off with Cars N Coffee and we are bringing Cochise and Henry. Then off to Auburn for the car show to benefit Alzheimers research. This is our first time at this show so we are just going as spectators, but will bring the "boys" next year if they accept project cars. Then in the evening we are headed up to Dutch Flat to celebrate dinner at the family's favorite restaurant in honor of Mom who passed from Alzheimers. Tomorrow is her birthday, so it'll be her we are thinking of. xoxox
I'm sorry to hear that. Alzheimers runs in my family on both sides; Dad's dad had it for many years before his passing, Mom's mom had it terribly, the dementia was so bad. She had to be in a nursing home her last three or four years. And just recently, one of Dad's sisters, one of the smartest women I ever knew, with the sharpest wit, passed a couple years ago after suffering from it for several years. I know you'll likely dwell on her last years, but always rehash the good times, even if you heard or have told the stories before.
Yesterday at Cars N Coffee...Pop has this Olds Delta 88, we joke about it because of the interior. Its this bright red velvet stuff, he laughs and says it looks like the inside of a whorehouse. But he keeps it pristine, so I told him to bring it to the show. Now all I gotta do is remember to actually take a shot of the inside, lol...
Ever ask him how he knows what the inside of a whorehouse looks like?
That Henry sure is a good looking son of a gun!
All three look great, in their own ways. The super dark green metallic paint and low stance of the near truck, Henry's 4X4 stance, and Cochise's elegantly-designed front clip.
LOL John, yes thats always the next line! He always laughs and says "...welll I don't know but thats what they tell me...!" LOL
Thanks, Bass! I will pass your compliment along to Henry's human.
By 'they' I'm sure he means his friends who have been there when the lights were on.
