Drove my '75 GT to Colorado FOMCO all Ford car show today in Golden, CO. Gosh awful hot with little shade but well over a hundred Ford products. More Rancheros than I expected. So nice not to be tripping over Cheby's. I did try to educate all the Ranchero owners on Ranchero.US.
As luck would have it, I hit a pigeon at near 80 mph on I-76 while driving over to the car show. Oooooh, I thought - blood and bird guts splattered over the Ranchero. As I drove into the car show, the registrant said "Hey, you've got a dead bird over your front bumper. Yup, bird still intact. Still warm, too. I offered it up for breakfast but no takers.
I "only" went 90 to a little car gathering last Sat but always in the back of my mind is "I hope a deer doesn't run out in front of me!"...which does occur in my neck of the woods...
