Way overpriced. I got mine for around 400 with shipping included from tri-city plating.

Even here in regulated CA a standard bumper plating costs less than $200 and a hard chrome $300-400. That assumes you bring it to the shop and pick it up afterwards.

$200 to re-plate a bumper is a bargain anywhere in this country.

That is just an etch and plate single process, not re-plating. Talk to any body shop that does insurance work and they can point you to a place that does it. Can only be done if there is no rust or deep scars (nothing deeper than the copper).

You have to be careful. The California chrome is said to be inferior due to more strict EPA control. Ill take Midwest chrome any day, it has proven to last longer. Ill use bumper boyz as the example of chrome from Ca. and tri-city as the example from Tn. I have a 2 year old bumper boyz bumper off my 67 if anyone cares to see what one of these things looks like after only 2 years of service. (The car wasn't garaged). The new bumper is now 18 months old and looks like the day I bought it, all while sitting outside in the Florida heat and rain.

Its common thinking in this area among the car folks that you want to choose a reputable company from the Midwest if you want show quality chrome that will hold up.

I'll keep this in mind. Besides, even if I could buy that bumper, I don't think I would. It'd make the rest of Cochise look dull by comparison, lol.....
