Well at over 200 mph I don't wish that ever.
Watching someone getting seriously injured or killed is not entertaining to me

Very few get injured with these, NASCAR has done a pretty good job with safety... it certainly isn't a forgone conclusion that anyone will be (or won't be). Don't have a dawg with any driver and don't have it out for anyone either. Lots of range between entertaining and ho hum.

Bring back the cars from that century. Oh dang! Some of today's wrecks would have been fatal in those cars. Maybe not such a good idea.

    Prayers for Ryan Newman #6
Hope is not seriously injured but he took a very hard hit then flip.
This is why I don't wish for wrecks like that to happen no matter what

Morbid curiosity got the best of me. Watching the full replay on Fox Sports 2 right now. Almost perverse seeing no Mopars in the field. "F"ix "I"t "A"gain "T"ony must not care about NASCAR.

I heard he has 'non-life threatening injuries' and was in surgery, but I haven't heard he'll fully recover yet. Anyone know if he's going to be fine? Always liked that guy. "The toughest man to pass in NASCAR". Good grief that was a massive wreck there.

He's gonna live but has serious injuries which means he may never race again or who knows what else.
There is no details on what his injuries are or how extensive.
Now yall know why I don't root for major wrecks, especially on a Super Speedway where they are racing at over 200 mph.
He could have easily been killed in that wreck.
Not entertaining for me to see crashes like this.
Prayers for Ryan that he will recover but certainly won't be racing anytime soon.

Well I read he had to have surgery so no telling what his injuries are and how bad.
They are not telling us anymore then that in news reports but certainly gonna keep him,his family, friends and Race Team in our prayers and hope his recovery leads to no disabilities

It's easy to forget the entire safety donnybrook surrounding Dale Earnhardt's untimely freak death, and the way safety was nearly twenty years ago. That crash is still easy to see in my mind's eye. Some wanna see crashes because they wanna see Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison duke it out on the infield (which was on the 1979 Daytona 500's last lap), but you really have driver's lives by a thread, no matter how much safety's built in.

Untimely? Dale thought he knew better than everyone else, and that's why he is dead.
