Not a scratch, DF!:D The bad thing (for you) is that a guy came by yesterday in the middle of all the chaos to see the tractor. I really think he'll buy it. ;)

Thanks again everyone, and Dennis, thanks for the offer to come help with the cleanup. I have been amazed and humbled by the offers that I've recieved for help. I do appreciate it very much but I think we have plenty of local volunteers to help out if needed. Between my own family members and members of my church and car club, we can knock it out in a few hours.
    Thanks!:D

Robert, let me know if you change your mind. There's plenty of firewood to go around.......really! :D

Joking aside it's good you came through it relatively unscathed.

Now for Andy Corum (ClskMstg). It's someone else's turn to call. I called Denny. Find out how he fared...

    I'll take...

I'll take six cords of oak firewood, cut or split to 6" x 18" dimensions and stacked on my wood storage area to season. I presume that you'll deliver of course, and at no cost to me. Thanks! :p:p

I'll even come down after and help you finish cleaning up... :D

Gee thanks! I'm pretty sure that even DF would take some firewood under those conditions. :D

    Yeah, but...

Yeah, but FF/DF doesn't have the beaches in close proximity and a school of '72s and FF bashes fishmouths. He isn't worthy.

    1. I will take my chances with a skinny tornado over a fat-arsed hurricane any day.

    2. A school of fishmouths? Yikes, just the thought. *shudder*

    3. I don't bash fishmouths, I am just playful.

    4. I have enough firewood on my own property to last a lifetime already but thanks.

Is that because there's alot of it or that you'll just never get off you lazy arse and cut it up?

No. If I don't cut it up it will go bad from sitting directly on the ground. But you knew that.

I look at the 54 (or so) people that died, and the horror of what their friends and family are now going through, and feel somewhat differently. Ah well, some say potato, some say tomato ;)
At least we can all agree that DF/FF should stay away from rest stops.

Nope! Never heard another word from the guy that I thought was so interested. I'm not really pushing it right now, but I'm sure it will sell this spring, especially with all the FEMA free money that will be handed out soon.

FEMA representatives actually knocked on my door Sunday morning and encouraged me to sign up for aid even though my damage will be covered by insurance. I'm all for helping folks that need (and deserve) help, but I don't think they should go out and beg people to sign up. Sorry for the political commentary but at least it's non-partisan.

Denny, I've been out of touch for a while, at a conference; man this was scary reading, several pages before DF got in touch with you!!! So glad that all your years of clean living has paid off, and you are ok. God bless.

Well I have a hot lead on the DR so I may well be in the market for the tractor after all. Believe it or not, the lead did not come from my posting here.

Normally I think it's the brand-name of his mower. I'm sure you've seen them advertised on TV. In DF's case, the DR could stand for "dry rot" since it probably hasn't moved since the first week that he got it. I'm sure he's telling the truth when he says it's "like new". ;)
