Any known candidates for my '75 GT. I see something about Lincoln Town Car donuts in older posts.

If I'm right the donut spare I got for my 67 was out of a 1997 Crown Vic, but they do say the mind the 1st thing that goes....lol

As an alternative to a donut spare, you can carry an undersized tire.

For example, I run 245/60SR15s but my spare is a 21560SR14 mounted on a stock Ford steel wheel.

Better driveability than a donut and almost as easy to stow.

Ok got this fine looking Michelin donut spare with an aluminum rim from a 1997 Mercury. I doubt this tire has ever been on the ground.

Now am I nuts to think this 27 year old tire can live through a 20-30 mile trip back to the house even at 50 or less mph?

New tires this size are expensive. Kumho had the cheapest at about 80 bucks.
