Are you including yourself in that list?
Yes, of course, Nobody is arrogant enough to make a blanket statement like that.
I bet still, if we looked hard enough, we'd find someone who is arroant enough to bash everyone else but themselves with regard to some claimed skill of some sort.
Hey guys, I was thinking of doing what you said Hillbilly about buying back the car from the insurance company, but I do not want to be bothered with that, it is just a durango afterall. I also think the days of the nice body shops are long gone, they are nothing but useless pos's now who just want to slap on a new fender and call it a day. Also like you said billy, I do have my chero for nice days, so because of this I think i am just going to get something basic and not special for my daily. I do want to get a wrangler, as I used to drive my dads for a year, and I really like those trucks, the 5 speed is also a added bonus. Well John check your pm box.
DON'T get a Wrangler with the 4 cylinder!! At least not if you have big tires. My bro had a 4 cyl Wrangler with big tires and man, that thing barely moved.
Don't be so quick to blame the body shops. The OE's have made cars almost un-repairable in many ways (basically throwaways). I've been involved in writing a 'design guide for vehicle repairability' that we hope the manufacturers will look to when designing new cars.
Wrangler's are death traps. You better stay away from them. If you were in a Wrangler, instead of the Durango when it was hit, you would not be typing your story on here right now. Seriously.
Well if I get one it will be the 4.0 i6 not the 4 as I hear those are dogs. Also them being a death trap might be something to think over as in the way things have been going for me lately.
It should be the only thing you think over at this time.
Ahem, *pssssst*, we have another thread for this, remember?
Thanks, FF. That is stellar advice.
True, there may not be a next time, so it is time to fix things and I mean now. Also I am going to think about going lower on the exhaust, and I will let you know shortly. The first thing I have to focus on it getting it off of the truck. Also nice advice thread, just like dear abby, except twisted.
Well done, that's the spirit.
I thought so too. So have you considered getting another Durango that you can swap your stuff on to?
Don't you think he'd go to the advice thread and ask us if he should?
Also I don't think I am going to get another durango, those things have crazy blind spots on them pretty ridiculous. Next car will be something smaller.
Oh yeah to add to this the insurance adjustor said he was nervous to call me because he was afraid that I might have been serously injured or even dead by the look of the car. Man I have some work to do...
it didn't look that bad......................did it?
Who knows, well what they did is done, and that is that.
cool. can't wait to hear about your new ride
Thanks dig, I think it may be a while as I am going to take it easy for a while and just rock out the chero as the weather is nicer. Also like we said earlier something is wrong as 2 cars in the matter of five months is not right. They also claim that the frame was in fact smashed in about 3in.
sounds like it's time for the chero to shine!! woooo hoooo. have fun
