Naw, just build your 77 your way and you will have one like no other.
I know this is a bit dated but which hood is that? Is it a fiberglass GT hood with a 'glass cowl grafted to it to clear the air cleaner?
Yes. I poured a pile of foam on the hood, shaped it with saw rasp and sandpaper. Shot it with paint then car wax, glassed over it and blended it into the hood. Then cut out the hood from the underside and removed the foam.
The construction slowdown has sidelined the project for a while, but I am dusting it back off.
Picked up a new manifold. I will be milling the entrance plenum to match my throttle bodys and do the port matching.
Finally got her in my new shop and can get back to work.
kewl, its been quite a while!
Looking forward to the updates. That will be one sharp ride!!
Thanks. Contracting has not been the business to be in her in CA for the last year and a half. Luckily a lot of the guys that have been bidding at a loss to stay busy have folded so I am picking up new customers.
On top of that the building I was in for more than 15 years was sold due to the owners death so I had to rent two places for a while then consolidate here.
Things will be slow for a bit as I set up this shop, but progress I will make.
Looks like it is a lot smaller then the old one
I started a new business in Northern Ca 5 years ago and it has been crappy since. It does show signs of getting better but I have stopped reading the paper. I causes ups and down as for hope of when things will get better.
I cashed in my cds I had to start working on my car rather than sit around watching soaps.
I like the extended cab look. As for the doors I'll just have to think skinny when I get out. Nice work
The pic does not do the shop justice. My 4X4 is in another area. It is smaller, 2000 sqft rather than the 2500 I had before.
Im loving the extended cab.
I was toying with the idea of doing a chop top, but I dont think Im going to go through with it.
I just want to drop the front (460 will help), put some air ride in the back and some stupid wide tires, go for the classic muscle car look
I want to put those mickey thomason 18" wide tires in the rear, just think it would look bitchin.
Have you seen the ford boss hemi ranchero?
29in wide rear tires
looks cool as hell... on the roof gap you could make the whole thing a windo like the( vista cruser ),,just an idea.,,,,,lol now you got me thinking on mine
Ribald I just stumbled upon this and I gotta say this is super cool. Love the doors you got going but I have a question for them. When you open it up does it come out to the side a bit then go up? Or do they go straight up?
The doors have to open a bit before going up. They open 8 inches then go straight up.
When is it going to be done? You and Sean, such procrastinators. His Dad finished his, you know.
You been on BB's balloon again?
