HAH... there's a part where Tammy drives it too... Just saw that the other day. Same wheels as mine! Also, not the first time Dan Aykroyd has been around a Ranchero...
In the latest episode of season 2 of Fargo (on FX and awesome) there is a yellow 70-71 Ranchero Squire that was seen twice, in two separate scenes, in two different locations. I guess they didn't think anyone would notice.
Elvis had a '67 Ranchero for use at his ranch in Mississippi. He also bought one for each member of the Memphis Mafia. http://www.remarkablecars.com/main/ford/1967-ford-004.html
The boyfriend, Shelby Roach, in this murder-mystery drives a roached (no pun intended) '78 Ranchero GT that was inspired by mine when it was in my shop awaiting restoration. The author is my neighbor and he was in my shop for repairs to his mother's van. He asked about the Ranchero, thinking it was an El Camino. I told him El Caminos were for rednecks and dopers, that this was a Ranchero, by Ford, who invented the thing. Next thing I know, my car is in the book he was writing at the time. http://www.amazon.com/Bum-Steer-Bla...TF8&qid=1452547202&sr=1-4&keywords=ben+rehder
In "The Expendables" (2010) a silver Ford Ranchero (77-79) is seen two times! 1. In a night driving scene, it drives in the background 2. Parking the cargarage
I was going to mention Goldfinger also. Oddjob picks up the crushed Lincoln with the mobster inside in the back of a Falcon Ranchero and the rear doesn't even sag!
Considering the Conti has $10M in gold bouillion inside when it's crushed, not sagging is no mean feat. Not to mention, riding like a Harley U.S. Army MULE when not loaded.
I saw a movie with a fixed up 72 Ranchero in the 70"s with rims and a custom grill about some punk kids with Hot Rods that are bad neighbors to new neighbors that moved into a new house in there neighbor hood and run over there dog. Does anyone remmber the name of that movie???? thanks, Ranchero888
A Ranchero in the new Fargo promo? S1 & 2 were great, by the way. Hopefully it has a staring roll. http://www.fxnetworks.com/video/900548675768
