When the first movie came out way back when I thought it was preposterous, but watched it anyway. I never got on the bandwagon afterwards. Yesterday F7 came on TV, so I watched it. Within 10 minutes, whatshername, driving a Challenger or Cuda, raced this clown in an Infiniti (?). I rewound the race and hit my stopwatch; a 29 second race with a dozen shifts. My Patriot would have beaten both of those cars in a 1/4 mile race. It reminded me why I couldn't watch them in the first place (although, the eye candy....). I think Star Wars was more believable.

Agreed; ignorant teenage fantasy stuff. If you want excellent car movies, check out anything Adam Carolla has done.

It's as if the laws of physics don't exist in whatever world Vin Diesel lives. Seriously, Lord of the Rings is more grounded in reality.

I watched part of one of the early ones. Maybe it was the first one. That's all the time I wasted on the series.

I've concluded that in my 50 years I've seen every fictional movie ever made or will be made. I pretty much just watch documentaries or how-to's now.

Well, except the wife likes Supernatural so that's been our weekly tv time together for years.

I agree. Supernatural has pretty much caught me by surprise, and though it's a 4-door, their '67 has an excellent sound.

I will also add that if you like car movies the best one of all time is Used Cars with Kurt Russell. Hands down.

Yup. Saw that the night I graduated high school with my then-GF. Seen it many, many times, along with Big Trouble in Little China since then.

The Love Bug. All the Sixties references just make me totally laugh my @$$ off to this day.

If I were forced to watch one of the two between Herbie and Fast I'd pick Herbie for sure. I haven't seen it in probably over 40 years but I know it would be more entertaining - and just about as believable.
