Sean you have been gone far too long and aged gracefully. Glad to see another ranchero bringing home the trophies. Ranchero pride!

Gracefully? He was in his 40's when he left and now it looks like he's aged at least 20 years in the few months since he left! :)

Some have small trophies, some big ones.
Don't get Sean started on more trophy envy or he will never stop ragging on your threads.:D

    2nd Show

Won 3rd Place in the 70-71 class today at the Fairlane Club of America, Bash at the Beach, sponsored by Torino/Cobra.com. Dad said the engine set it apart from most of the others....that and the fact it was the only Ranchero there.

I did a chronological set of build photos on Facebook; start to finish. To do so here would be a pain, what with the photo limits per post, etc. This site is sorta 1980’s.

    Good job Sean.
The "Bash at the Beach" is on my bucket list.
I've been hanging on "Torinocobra.com" for years.

Last week I dug out the old Pentax 35mm camera (at least 34 years old) and took these photos. Man, trying to get actual filmed developed was a pain. No place in Metro Detroit could do it. I had to come back to the backwoods for the 1 hour processing.

That is why everyone has gone to digital.
Almost nobody knows how to set up a camera properly anymore.
That is why you got such poor depth in the images.
Setting stop and shutter, and setting focus to match, is beyond most people, and the rest of us can't be bothered. :)

I actually knew you would post a 'You didn't know what you were doing' crap statement before you posted that. I haven't touched the camera in 30+ years, and didn't even know if it still worked. If you were really that smart, you'd have noticed how blown out they are, because the seal around the shutter was rotted away. But you're not that smart, you're just a blow-hard know-it-all. Plus, the light meter was broke (or, more likely, the battery was dead). Hard to figure out the aperture without that. I'd explain what that does, but you already 'know' I'm certain.

Anyway, don't look at these photos, please. I'd hate to offend you.

I wasn't offended, just pointing out where modern technology is vastly superior. It isn't always, but in this case it is.
My only point is that if you are going retro, do it right.
Or just shoot pics from a 'throw away' camera from the 60's.
By the way, nobody was using a light meter back then.;)
