That name sure sounds familiar Sean. I think Rick had something to do with the big shows and swap meets that were held on the Saginaw Plant's lawn a few years back. Huge events, they gave away crate engines and nice cars as prizes.

That was a reference to Sean geting his panties in a wad about me making fun of his 'Spank the Monkey' game that he posted.

It's possible that was him. He was always into cars. When I was 13, he and his new wife moved in next door. He was 19-20 years old and just started at GM, (she was 19 and my fantasy). He had a 1971 Challenger with a 318 that I helped him paint and work on. Then he started the north/south car swap deal. He was really a great guy and taught me a lot (much in the 'what not to do' variety).

He’s either delusional or has ADD (or ADHD). No way he’s doing that on purpose.

The same type of person who rents a Harley at Sturgis. Poser's are present in every hobby or sport. They give the rest of us something to laugh and point at.

A large percentage of the bikes at Sturgis are rented bikes.
The Harley dealership by my shop rents out a bunch of them each year and trucks them to Sturgis. The guys fly out, pick up the bikes and 'ride' into Sturgis.
I suspect almost a third of the bikes there are rented.
My father in law works security at Sturgis every year. He tells me that many there don't even know how to ride a bike, they have someone deliver and park it, and it never moves until it is picked up after the event.

I don't see anything wrong with renting a bike for Sturgis or for a weekend ride, or even renting a show car for a cruise, just for the experience or fun. Now, if you go round telling everyone it's yours, you're a loser. Before you accuse, no, I have never done that. Y'all know I'm way too cheap to do that.

Same reason people get their picture taken with micky mouse when they go to disneyland.

Oh, well OK then. But why go to a motorcycle event without a motorcycle, rented or otherwise? Do they rent '15 Indians?

Where did I say anything about it being legal? But really, what's wrong with getting your picture taken?

Back in the day, the Indians thought taking your photograph would actually steal your soul. That's what's wrong with getting your picture taken, pal. Hard to argue against that.
