Front Tire Size

    I need a new front tire. The other one is a somewhat unusual/expensive size: 245/60R14 98 S. Is it necessary to match it exactly, or could I go with a cheaper 235/60R14?

    Yeah, you're right. I'm going to stick with the same size. They do look cool!

    You're kinda lucky on the 14" they're pretty easy to find in decent price ranges. Mine has 13" no cheap tires there.

    My car had new 15" all the way around when I bought it. They rubbed the front tires like a masseuse with no hands.
    I replaced the fronts with two sizes smaller and eliminated the problem, can't even tell by looking.
    Front - 195/60R 15
    Rear - 215/60R 15
    When the fronts wear out I will go to the same size again 195/60R 15 all the way around.
    You can some smoking deals on 15" also.
