We've had a considerable drop in fuel here in the Panhandle. At the Hugo Chavez Citgo gas stations, as of last night, here's what we pay: 87 Octane: 3.07 89 Octane: 3.17 93 Octane: 3.27 At Exxon, BP, Shell and others, the price is only two cents higher. With such low, low prices, I was able to fill a half-empty 96 Pontiac Formula at Shell with 93 octane for 24 bucks. I felt so great at having some money left over, I decided to stimulate the economy with a 5 dollar car wash.
And in the weeks to come we should be able to ask for wax and towel dry as the prices will come down more!!
At $2.45 in south central MO. http://www.missourigasprices.com/ $2.94 in St. Louis metro. Better keep trending down too. Jerks. I bet everyone who rushed to buy a Dodge during their $2.99 gas guarantee racket are sweatin.
Glad to see they are dropping when I left prices were still upper 3 dollar range. I admit it has been nice not having to put gas in my car at all as I haven't driven in a whole month now.
My friend's wife is a finance manager for Chrysler and she said that was the biggest incentive failure in the history of automotive sales. It was either $2.99 gas or 0.99% financing, and very few people took the gas (or even bought a Dodge for that matter). It goes to show you that the people of America are really not that stupid....nah!
The cheapest gas in my area yesterday was $2.89.9 for regular, but it's been falling fast for the last few days. Hopefully it will keep falling because I know where I can get a great deal on a slightly-used Hummer.
The only thing about this whole thing is that the gas is coming down now when a lot of the guys up north here are thinking about putting their car away for the winter. I am glad I don't have to worry about storage . Because as long as the roads are nice I can still take advantage of the cheaper prices and take the ol ranchero out for a cruise .
You guys are lucky. 29 stations in a 10 mile radius of me range from $3.36 to $3.50 for 87 octane and up to $3.90 for 91. On top of that we get up to 13% ethanol. My 11:0 to 1 Cleveland don't like that.
Price dipped again. 2.99/3.09/3.19 up here. So down in Ft Walton, probably 2.94/3.04/3.19. Monday should look pretty good too.
the whole time I had my chero out I was paying over $4, I put it away and it drops...so of course I dusted it off and filled er up, and was cruising the last couple days. the weather has been awesome , as long as its sunny Ill be out in it. ( yeah primer spots & all)
We are still high here $3.26 last night, and about $.10 of that is local taxes going to the local bus system that no one rides.
I filled up the van at $2.97 yesterday, they're still falling too. Ol' Pud's gonna cost me around $22 to fill up next time, whenever that is. BTW, last time I filled up the van at $3.89 or something, it cost $15 more to fill it. That's a case of beer, y'all.
Bad part to every story??? I just filled Baloo last week fer th commute to work during these rainy days, that cost me $80 fer 20 gallons... He`ll drink it up though...
