Man! Get gas now! Each time I go ton town, the price jumps !! ^^ $.50 this week! Went to town in the morning, before I returned home it jumped 40 cents!!! Much better`n $6.50 though!!!!
After the price hike last week diesel jumped from under $2.00 to $2.37 today. Regular is all we have here locally since Harvey and it's at $2.72.
Our local ARCO went from $2.439 to $2.859 over the last three weeks. The Chevrons in the area are ranging across a 20ยข gap, $2.999 to $3.199.
Gas getting scarce in areas down here...the evacuees are like locusts. Current projectionis have the eye passing over macon.
Interesting that some folks didn't know this was happening. I don't like that this was passed without a taxpayer vote and further don't like that we have been paying gas tax and excise tax and registration and green sticker fees to have that pot raided and now we have to pay more to fix it. Gov. Brown called the taxpayers "freeloaders" for questioning the increase. I just don't get it.
Here in NZ we pay around $1.89 - 1.95 per LITRE. Sometimes goes over $2.00. Convert that ! Luckily I only have a 289. When asked about gas mileage I just tell people that I need to use as much as I can before it all runs out .
Gas has gone up $0.9c in the last 8 days -- now around $2.13/ litre. Luckily I am not planning an out-of-town trip for a while. Denis.
Ugh....gas prices around here are enough to make me ill. Most cheap stations are right under three bucks; the rest are right over.
2.35 range in NJ. And we just passed a 23 cent additional tax in the last year as well as a constitutional amendment making all state gas tax go for "transportation". Of course the pols will spend it on rail, bike paths, etc. wherever the most political "bang-for-the-buck" (read graft) is. We have by far the highest average price-per-mile for road construction / repair of any state. Somewhere around 5 mil per mile if memory serves. And we are not "allowed" to pump our own.
Saw a news article last night that claimed that only 60 cents of our gas price -- still around $2.19/ litre , is for the actual gas. Denis.
