How prices have dropped since I left over 2 months ago. When I left prices were still in the 3.45 range in my area. Guess lower gas prices are the only bright spot in the economy. The chemical industry is really started to get hit hard with lack of demand, hope things pick up soon.
Sortly stuck around at $1.95 for a week or so, but it finally started to drifet down again this week. $1.87 this morning, a lot lower in rural MO.
I've heard that he sneaks out of his hotel at night dressed in a Ninja costume and blows up villages........no, wait......I saw that in a Chuck Norris movie once.....never mind.
Prices around here running $2.22 to $2.42. And with my multi-spark box I can now run regular. YEE HAW!!!
took 35 to fill RED with Premium..... now this is cool.... but remember 55 cents???? And to think I thought that was crazy hehehehe
I only go back far enough to remember $.79 back when stations still had 'price wars'. Never stayed at that price long but I do remember it. Probably averaged around a buck. $1.49 in December of '04 was the lowest price I can remember seeing, before the huge run-up to $4.00 happened. I didn't think that would be the last time I ever saw it, stupid oil.
at the age of five I remember my dad complaining it went to 28 cents from 22.... When I was in high school and just got my license drove a 1964 Galaxie 500 turquoise in color... that was such a smooth riding car... gas would cost me 55 cents a gallon... I could fill the tank for just over 15 dollars... that was cool. That 289 would get me around for a few weeks on a tank... and that was when gas had color... a slight shade of pink.... now that was good fuel. that was indeed the 70's.... and it was 1963 when my dad complained about the spike to 28 cents lol
I'm sure it was during Carter's presidency, because I remember him predicting that gas would exceed $1 by the summer. The same summer I went from driving a '72 Super Beetle to a 383 '70 Charger. JD
i started driving in the 80's and i'm sure it was under a dollar a gallon in california. had a 68 mustang.
I paid as much as $1.25 a gallon in the early 80's while in High School and as low as $.75 a gallon while in Collage during the mid 80's. Right now on the Mountain it is $2.53 a gallon for the 87 and $2.73 for 91.
