California’s gas tax, among the highest in US, rises again https://www.yahoo.com/news/california-gas-tax-among-highest-224553135.html
Prices went right back up within one month's time, showing proof that the oil companies manipulate the market. I'm willing to bet, even with COVID, they still made scads of profit.
We went back up to $1.839 from $1.619 within a week. Only the weird circumstances dropped the prices so fast, but that still took two months.
prices hereabouts: 87 Octane $1.899 89 Octane $2.159 93 Octane $2.469 They just bumped our gas tax .05 per gallon effective this past Wednesday. Greedy... <nevermind>
I put 200+ miles on yesterday, I saw 1.88.9 - 2.09.9 for regular I paid 1.89 & 1.99 when I filled up... I`m talkin` `bout RURAL prices NOT interstate or big town competition... I`m sure glad it ain`t $5 no more, Dennis
Just put gas in the '65 on the way to have custom exhaust work done $2.49.9 Sunoco Premium non ethanol
Soooo...spent two weeks in Washington State. Lowest low-grade price was $2.399 on I-90 on the East side of the Cascades, at the Thorp Fruit Stand and Antiques (no, I'm not related). Highest was a Chevron in Bellevue, where all the rich floggers live, $3.029 on low-grade.
My last name is Thorp; the Army Engineer who laid out all the trails and then settled in the valley had the same name, but if there is any relation, it's wayyyyyyyyyyyy back in English history.
