Obummer said that Americans could afford $10 a gallon. No surprise that CA would be the first to get there, no matter how bad it sucks.
Got a damaged MachE4 at the shop, After taking the customer home so I could drive it back it's not the type of vehicle I would want even with a gas motor. The difference between the cost of a ICE vehicle and totally electric or even a hybrid will go a long way toward the fuel price and what nobody ever mentions, the plug in electricity doesn't come free. How many kilowatts does it take per week to keep it charged? One day the government will figure out how to get their lost per gallon gas tax dollars. My wife's hybrid yearly tax is way more than the same gas model due to not buying as many gallons to cover the per gallon gas tax. The gas savings is just shifted.
A man shouldn't get chased off by nobody. Especially by anyone here. Please. Gas at Wawa is $4.25 and at Costco it's $4.29. That never happens.

I really don't know how you budget $9.00 a gallon gas. I paid $2.09 a gallon to fill up my CNG tank in my 13 F 250 yesterday. I will never trade this truck as long as the current adminstration is in power. As a matter of fact I am converting my 63 Galaxie [428] to CNG in my current rebuild of it. Greg
“At the end of April, Exxon Mobil reported $5.48 billion in profits during the first quarter of 2022 – also more than doubling its profits compared with the same period last year. Revenue for the Irving, Texas-based company was $90.5 billion, far exceeding the revenue of $59.15 billion during the same quarter in 2021. (USA TODAY, May 7, 2022) " Capitalism, gotta love it. This is not about running out of refined petroleum to create gas or diesel like in the 1970's. Then we waited in line to get 5 - 10 gallons of gas. Now it is to spend $100.00 or more and get as much gas as we can afford. I don’t think any administration is going to tell big oil to quit squeezing us dry as long as they do it legally. I certainly don't take vacations.
Depends on the state. In CA. we have severe drought and water restrictions. You would probably get fined (or jailed) for wasting water
If you (government) want to push the green agenda. You will not get anyone to buy electric cars when gas is $2.00 a gallon. Thats why electric cars went by the wayside back in the early 1900's.
Just got back from a trip to Glacier Park. Prices for 87 octane across OR, ID & MT ranged from $4.93 to $5. 39. Our Honda Fit gets amazing mileage, so it didn't hurt too much:
