Where everyone around Snohomish County (Oh, I'm up in WA for two weeks) is $5.05 and up, the 41st. and Rucker Safeway in Everett has regular at $4.799/gal. $98 and almost 21 gallons or so later, I have a full tank.
Gas here is at 3.29 reg., 3.69 mid & 4.09 prem., per gallon, because of our governor! Thanks Governor Kemp!
It's not just the Governor of a state, the Legislature also has their fingers in the pie. Washington and California are big examples of that, as opposed to states like Texas, who do not put much state taxation on fuels, so the majority of taxes there are general and Highway Trust Fund Federal taxes. Your state's average prices are just about the same as Texas, so you're actually doing better that a lot of other places around the country.
I use only non-ethanol gas in my '75 Ranchero or '02 Ranger. The only local drive-in station with non-ethanol here locally is Murphy Mart (Walmart) at $4.49/gal for mid-range gasoline. Luckily, there is dealer here offering 91 octane non-ethanol gasoline, a requirement for my '75 460. The price is also $4.49/gal. Granted this is not drive through gasoline. I have to drive down a dirt drive to a back tank. However, I could care less with the Ranger so what the hey, I'll burn 91 octane in that Ranger and load up a 5 gal jerry can for the Ranchero and I don't have to put up with the s**ty customers at the Walmart station.
