    The winter projects are done on the Ranchero, so I decided to do another guitar build, this time designing my own body instead of copying popular designs. I call it the Shark.

    The body is reclaimed Alder, the neck is from a Squier Telecaster, and the whammy is a Stratocaster. Here's the concept drawing and the parts loosely mocked up. I'm now waiting for the lacquer paint to cure for a couple weeks before wet sanding, polishing and final assembly.

    Awesome work Beerbelly, I love the overall shape, especially the top fin. What pups are those in the bottom pic? They look like hybrids of some sort.

    Those are GFS Surf 90s Jimbob, their take on a DeArmond Dynasonic. Kind of a cross between a P90 and a humbucker; I've used them before and really like them.
