Three grand. Needs floors and 'some body work'. I needed a good laugh. https://columbiamo.craigslist.org/cto/5341979931.html
I looked at this one many years ago, had a 351W instead of a C, no brake work, didn't run: And he wanted $2500. Grabber orange was almost faded to red and the seat fabrics were falling apart. But it's entirely possible the seller got his money. A lot of the 'leftovers' are now commanding higher prices because the good to excellent cars are now owned or are gone.
Heck, i dig that with the faded paint and stripe, get it running, fix the brakes and id drive it just like it is!
He could do the neighborhood a favor and fill the trunk full of salt and grit the roads in the winter with that thing the way it is! ...oh wait, looks like he already did that.
Get used to junk bringing higher prices. Andy sees what I do, when all the nice survivors are in someone's stash, you end up paying a premium for parts or marginaly repairable rides you would have passed over a few years ago. Told ya'll this was coming a few years ago, is reality starting to bite now ? Sorry, this hit's me in the wallet too so don't think I'm happy about it. There's a real reason my back yard looks like it do.
1970 Galaxie 500 XL fastback. Don't have this batch now as a group of guys from Ohio came down and bought everything but the firetruck and Willys truck.
They didn't snag the Willys? Wow. I would've thought that would've been in the top five. And like you, I saw the writing on the wall a long, long time ago with Chebby Tri-Fives, late Fifties Caddies, etc. It all just filters down through the years and models, some filtered through faster than others.
Yeah. Only have two Buicks, one Chevy cop wagon, and a 62 Rambler Cross Country right now. Sold a 93 Buick to a cousin last spring. I credit Dan The Man with his in depth review of the Whales for kindling my interest. Thank you Dan, I never gave those cars a second thought before. My wife would kill if someone threatened to take away her Roadmaster. She loves her Excursion but the height of the Roadhog fit's her better. You do know those wagons are an illusion as far as dimensions ? A 93 Town Car is really the size of a mid 60's Cutlass and those Whales are a full 12 inches shorter than the 93 Lincoln. Andy, a cousin next farm over bought the Willys because it had a well drilling rig mounted on it. He has around 30 different Jeeps from military to rock crawlers. Goes to Moab and all the other 4 wheel drive places. His Samari crawler =
