If your going to buy a bike for $2500 at least get one you ride on the street legally do not think a 200cc could be street licensed in Cali.
Most bikes can be registered and driven on the street but if they are not over 400cc they cant be driven on the Highways. At least here in NY anyway.
That's kinda' an odd rule. I can see banning 50CC termites and such but bikes with 150CC and better can be scary fast enough to keep pace with traffic. The old Hondas at 150cc thru 305cc would run up to 80 to 100+ mph. Not fast enough ? What are they judging them by ? Do you have to have a large bike so in an accident you punch a pre- determined size hole in the car that hits you ?
Ken, I think it may have to do with the weight of the bike because they are so light the can be pushed around by heavy winds or large vehicle drafts is the only thing I can think of for that rule. I know when it was really windy and I was on my little 500 I had on the highway I white knuckled a few times in heavy winds.
